The Liverpool manager criticised the choice of ref for the big game against Man City which they lost and where the assistant ref made one of the biggest boo boos of the season ruling Raheem Sterling offside when he was yards onside - the flying winger went onto score.
But Rodgers went overboard when he pointed out that the ref's birthplace in Greater Manchester might be the reason for some of the decisions that went against Liverpool.
