Bohemians have announced the signing of 21-year old striker Ryan Swan who moves to the Northside from Cabinteely.
The son of ex-Bohs striker Derek Swan played previously for UCD before a short spell with Exeter City.
He didn't make the breakthrough at the English club but displayed some real potential with the Students, most notably in their 2015 Europa League run in which he scored three goals in four games.
Swan moved to Stradbrook in July and bagged one goal in eight appearances for Cabinteely and Bohs boss Keith Long believes he's ready to play in the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division.
"Ryan's served his time in the First Division and has done very well. It's a big step up to the Premier Division but he deserves his chance. He's hungry to do well and we believe he's capable of doing so at this level.
"He's a Finglas lad and his Dad played for the club. He's his own man and a different kind of player but he already has Bohs in his blood. I'm looking forward to working with him."
It was revealed today the Gypsies will face arch-rivals Shamrock Rovers at Dalymount Park on the opening weekend of the SSE Airtricity Premier Division.
