We're on the eve of the Ryder Cup in France and while USA go in as favourites, we now have an idea how Day 1 could play out.

The fourball pairings for the opening morning at the Ryder Cup have been revealed and first out on course at Le Golf National will be the meeting of Europe's Jon Rahm and Justin Rose, and the US pair Brooks Koepka and Tony Finau. That tees off at 7.10AM Irish time.

It's an intriguing prospect given that Rose has just won the 2018 FedEx Cup, while Koepka won two more majors this year to take his overall tally to three.

Following that, four-time major winner Rory McIlroy and Thorbjorn Olesen will take on Dustin Johnson and Rickie Fowler, both Top 10 in the world.

Then Paul Casey and Tyrell Hatton continue the European charge against three-time major winner Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas.

Meanwhile, what could well prove to be the tie of the morning is the last pairings out, and sees 2018 Open Championship winner Francesco Molinari and Tommy Fleetwood go up against Tiger Woods, fresh off victory at the Tour Championship last weekend, and reigning Masters champ Patrick Reed.

Nathan Murphy and Joe Molloy are at Le Golf National for Off The Ball and they were joined by European hero from four years ago at Gleneagles, Jamie Donaldson, to look back at winning 2014 as well as sports broadcaster Andrew Cotter to look ahead to Day 1 of action.
