Dublin legend Noelle Healy has confirmed her retirement from inter-county football.

The St Brigid’s player claimed five All Ireland titles during her fourteen years on the Dublin panel.

Away from the pitch, Healy has been working on the frontline during the pandemic as an anaesthetist at St. Vincent's hospital in the capital.

On top of five All Ireland medals, Healy won a whopping 10 Leinster championships, a Division 1 National Football League title, two Division Two titles and four All Stars.

Healy was also captain of the Dublin side in 2016 when they lost the All Ireland final by a single point to Cork.

"It's been beyond a dream to have represented Dublin at all age groups for the last 17 years, in both successes and failures," she said.

"Thank you to all the management teams I’ve had the honour of learning from and the teammates I’ve had the pleasure of playing with. I’m lucky that many of them I’m able to call great friends too.

"My very best wishes to the squad in coming seasons, no doubt they will continue to go from strength to strength!”
