Spanish police are investigating after an Irish man was found dead in Marbella.
His friends found him unresponsive in a holiday home swimming pool yesterday morning.
The villa in Nueva Andalucia where the man was found is just a short distance from the beach at Puerta Banus.
Police and paramedics were called out at 25 past ten yesterday morning.
They tried to revive him, but he was declared dead at the scene.
The Department of Foreign Affairs says it's aware of what's happened, and is providing consular assistance.
A post-mortem is due to take place over the weekend.
