Sligo Rovers booked their place in the Ford FAI Cup semi-finals with a 1-0 win over Derry City at the Showgrounds. Raffaele Cretaro scored the only goal of the game on 15 minutes to edge out last years champions who had claims for a last-minute penalty turned down by referee Neil Doyle. Sligo had goalkeeper Gary Rogers to thank at the death when he made two stops from as many Michael Duffy efforts to deny cup holders Derry a replay. Drogheda and Finn Harps meet tonight in their quarter final replay with the winner set to join Sligo, Shamrock Rovers and Dundalk and in the draw for the last four.
