Skerries is the safest place to live in Ireland, according to new research.
Price comparison website Switcher.ie found it had the lowest rate of crime per 1,000 people in 2021.
The coastal town has a population of around 10,000 residents.
Mayo’s Castlebar is believed to be the best place to work from home in Ireland.
The survey took into account house prices, crime rates, broadband speeds and 5G mobile coverage, among others.
Leixlip in Kildare came in second, Navan in Meath was third, followed by Galway city and Longford town.
Longford town topped the list in terms of the cheapest places to live – with an average house price of €162,899.
Gorey in Wexford is the best place to keep fit, according to the Switcher.ie research.
