Joyful joyful news!
Last week Whoopi Goldberg orchestrated an emotional Sister Act reunion on The View, 31 years after the last movie was released.
On a special episode of the talk show on Wednesday, Whoopi reunited the school children who featured in the 1993 sequel Sister Act 2: Back In The Habit with a performance of Oh Happy Day, along with other cast members including Kathy Najimy, Wendy Makkena, and Sheryl Lee Ralph.

The special reunion ended with an emotional recreation of the film’s climactic number Joyful Joyful conducted by main woman herself.

The only thing missing from the special reunion was Fugees singer and Back In Habit star Lauryn Hill - she must have been busy that day!
Her place in the recreated performance was taken by Tanya Trotter, who played Tanya in the 1993 movie and shared a memorable duet with Lauryn Hill's character Rita Louise.
The actress told Entertainment Tonight after the performance that the experience was "fantastic".
"The whole audience — what y'all couldn't see — we all were just [sobbing]."
The actress was asked what she knew about the rumoured Sister Act 3 film and while she couldn't say whether or not she will feature in it, she does know "that the script is done".
"Anything that Whoopi Goldberg is a part of — 'cause she's a legend, she's an icon, she's my mentor, hero — yes, I would say yes, " the actress said when she was asked if she'd be interested in starring in a 3rd installment of the popular films.
It sounds like we're getting closer and closer to the Sister Act follow-up we're dying to see!
