A man has died after a shooting in Dublin.
It happened at a house in the Croftwood Park area of Ballyfermot at around 11 o'clock this morning.
He was hit a number of times during the gun attack and was pronounced dead at the scene, which is currently preserved for a technical exam.
Gardaí are appealing to witnesses to come forward, particularly anyone who was in the area between 10.30am and 11.30am.
Sinn Féin City Councillor and Chair of the Joint Policing Committee, Daithí Doolan said;
"The shooting in Cherry Orchard this morning was wrong. I totally condemn It. It is an attack on the whole community."
