Hospitality shouldn't be the only sector where legislation on service charges is introduced.
That's the view of the Restaurants Association, which wants more clarity on how it'll be implemented.
The legislation aims to make tipping more transparent, by ensuring mandatory charges go directly to staff.
Chief Executive of the Restaurants Association, Adrian Cummins, says airlines and delivery providers should also be included
"Because you have service charges in areas like airline tickets, concert tickets and the delivery of food.
"This legislation should be across all parts of the economy not just in the hospitality sector."
