A second man charged with the murder of Tristan Sherry in Blachardstown in Dublin on Christmas Eve has been sent forward for trial to the non-jury Special Criminal Court.
26 year old Mr. Sherry was killed after shooting another man, Jason Hennessy Senior, in Browne's Steakhouse.
Four men are accused of murdering Tristan Sherry, who suffered blunt force head trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Wayne Deegan, who is 26, was initially charged with other offences which were later dropped, as the DPP directed Gardaí to charge him with murder instead.
He was remanded in custody and appeared before Cloverhill District Court again today, where he was served with the prosecution's book of evidence.
A state solicitor today told the Judge that the DPP has directed Mr. Deegan be tried in the Special Criminal Court.
The DPP had provided a certificate, stating that in this case "the ordinary courts are inadequate to secure the effective administration of justice".
The cert is under a section of the Offences Against The State Act.
The judge agreed to grant a return-for-trial order.
He warned Mr Deegan, who remains in custody on remand, that he must inform the prosecution if he intended to use an alibi.
It was the second of four murder cases resulting from the investigation into the gunman's death to reach this stage, and with the same trial venue.
