Search For Missing Dublin Man Stood Down

The search for missing Dublin man Dean McCann has been stood down.

Gardai say it follows the recovery of a body in Dangan in Co Galway yesterday.

The 28 year old left his Drumcondra home just over a week earlier on Saturday 5th February and had been seen in Galway on Sunday.

In a statement gardai say: "Following the recovery of a body in Dangan, Co.Galway on Sunday, 13th February, the missing person appeal in respect of Dean McCann, 28 years, has been stood down.

"An Garda Síochána would like to thank the public for their assistance in this matter. No further information is available at this time."
