Sandymount Village will be pedestrianised during July and August.
Dublin City Council has announced the change which will be in operation on a 24 hour basis from July 3rd.
It follows requests from a number of local businesses and the Sandymount and Merrion Residents Association regarding facilitating outdoor dining.

Dublin City Council says it's pleased to announce that it will be proceeding with plans to pedestrianise the eastern side of Sandymount Village, and that the initiative is part of a wider programme led by the Office of City Recovery.
The council says it carried out a consultation to obtain people’s views on this proposal as a number of local residents have made their concerns known. The consultation ran from the 30th April to the 14th May 2021.
926 people took part and 94% of respondents said they supported the proposal.
Emergency access will still be allowed at all times. A loading area will be provided as well as the relocation of the two disabled parking spaces and the provision of additional disabled parking space nearby.
Additional bike parking will also be provided. There will be a reduction of 5 parking spaces.
