Dublin City Council is being urged to change its plans for a cycleway in Sandymount.
Some residents are angry over plans to cut traffic down to one lane.
Plans for a trial cycle way on Strand Road are being discussed at the South East Area Committee meeting this afternoon.
A one-way system would be introduced for traffic along the route to allow for a two way cycle track.
This is something residents from the STC Community Group says is unacceptable.
It has proposed an alternative route for the plans and believes the new cycle way will force traffic onto other streets, which will create more risks for cyclists and families.
