Parts of the Sandymount Seafront will be reduced to one way traffic from March 1st to allow for a new cycle route.
Work will begin on installing the cycleway from next Monday, including works at the pedestrian crossings and roundabouts.
Advance works for the installation of the Strand Rd cycle route will begin on February 15th. This includes works at the pedestrian crossings & roundabouts. There will be no changes to existing traffic until 1st of March.

However, from next month there will be a number of changes to traffic layouts around the Strand Road area.
A six month trial for a two-way cycle path was given the go-ahead last November following local opposition.
