Ryanair has rejected claims that it owes refunds to customers amounting to €20m.
The Irish Travel Agents Association has raised concerns about outstanding refunds at the Oireachtas Transport Committee this morning.
Ryanair and the Irish Travel Agents Association have been locking heads for months over the issue of refunds.
The ITAA claim money is still owed to customers who have booked flights thorough it's members but Ryanair insists it doesn't deal with travel agents and offers refunds directly to customers through a customer verification form.
Pat Dawson from the ITAA says the paperwork is onerous.
In a statement, Ryanair says the ITAA claims are false and that only a small number of refunds are outstanding, as they airline has not received a refund request directly from the customer.
The airline argues that some travel agents are delaying refund requests for fear they will expose the overcharging of passengers. It claims some agents may charge higher fairs or a fee to book a Ryanair flight on behalf of a customer.
