An Garda Síóchána is spending more than €100,000 a month to police the Russian Embassy in Dublin.
They've ramped up security measures, according to The Irish Times, after the gates were damaged by a truck last week.
The Russian Ambassador to Ireland, Yury Filatov, called for better co-operation from Gardaí after the incident.
He said Ireland had carried out a breach of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations.
As a response, Gardaí have increased their presence at the embassy which is coming at a cost.
Earlier today, the foreign ministry in Bulgaria announced they are expelling ten Russian diplomats.
According to news agency Reuters, they have been accused of breaching international conventions on diplomatic ties.
Foreign ministries in Latvia and Estonia have also expelled Russian ambassadors.
The Bulgarian diplomats were given 72 hours to leave the country.
It follows two other diplomats of whom Bulgaria expelled for espionage earlier this month.
