RTÉ has announced it intends to cut 200 staff next year.
The state broadcaster has released details of its revised strategy, to address its financial difficulties. It says it needs to cuts costs by €60 million over the next three years.
To do so, it will reduce the fees paid to its top contracted on-air presenters by 15 per cent.
The executive board of the station will take a 10 per cent pay cut and the board of RTÉ will waive its fees.
The broadcaster says it needs to reduce its staff headcount by 200 in 2020.
RTÉ will also close its Limerick studio next year.
It will shut the digital audio broadcast network, as well as its digital radio stations, such as RTÉ Gold and RTÉ Radio 1 Extra.
Fianna Fáil's communications spokesman, Jack Chambers, blames the government for the station's financial difficulties;
"It comes at the back of the government failing to address the collection issue of the licence fee, with an evasion rate of 12 percent and up to 50 million being lost per year."
