A man has been ordered to stay away from ATMs after being charged with stealing more than €8000 from cash-points across Dublin.
A court's heard the "reversal fraud" took place over three days in January in Crumlin, Killiney and Clonskeagh.
Money was also stolen from ATMs in Firhouse, Rathfarnham, Santry, Artane, Clonee and Carpenterstown.
Reversal fraud involves making an ATM withdrawal, but tricking the machine into thinking the cash wasn't taken.
AIB noticed the thefts happening at some of its ATMs in Dublin last month.
Ovidiu Raducanu of Pinebrook Glen in Huntstown appeared in court today charged with 15 counts of theft.
The 35-year-old was arrested yesterday just before midnight and made no reply to the charges.
An application for bail was made and granted but with a number of conditions.
They include that he stays away from all ATMs until he's due back in court next month.
