ItÂ’s reported Michaela McCollum will plead guilty when she and her co-accused Melissa Reid appear before a prosecutor in Peru today.
The 20 year olds were stopped trying to board a flight in Lima last month with eleven kilos of coke in their luggage.
The women from County Tyrone and Glasgow claim they were forced to carry the drugs by an armed gang.
The prosecutor handling their case says they face a minimum of six years in prison if they plead guilty.
Melissa ReidÂ’s family have previously said she plans to admit guilt in exchange for a lighter sentence.
