Racial abuse is happening on a weekly basis in Irish soccer.
That's according to two coaches who say racial abuse is being brushed under the carpet in Ireland.
Yannis Boulmelh a 19-year-old Firhouse Clovers player says he was the victim of this type of abuse on the pitch last weekend.
As a result, the Leinster Senior League says it's investigating and insists suspensions have been handed out after two similar incidents this season.
Coaches Jeff Byrne and Mokhtar Addani have been speaking about the issue. Jeff said: 'I just believe that in 2019 we're going backwards instead of forwards. I think the who situation needs to be looked at closely and needs to be addressed and there needs to be proper consequences.
While Moktar said: We need an example in this country. We need the club to be punished. And for it to be published everywhere. To be an example. Even I've been called Bin Laden on the pitch, from a mother.
