The latest CSO Transport Bulletin for the month of September has seen public transport users in Dublin almost return to normal.
The number of people taking rail services is at 99 per cent of what it was pre-pandemic.
Elsewhere, there's been a rise in those using the bus, but it's still down 3 per cent from three years ago.
For the last week of September, the number of cars on our roads is down by four per cent on figures from 2019.

However, there are now slightly more trucks and articulated lorries on our roads compared to before the pandemic.
The CSO figures also show we've become more fuel-conscious.
Fueling at pumps was 9 per cent lower in August for petrol than in the same month in 2019.
The amount of fuel being put in vehicles is up on figures taken from 2021 when some Covid restrictions were still in place.
Passengers flying to and from Dublin Airport doubled last month compared to 2021.
Regionally, the numbers are still significantly down in the likes of Shannon and Cork Airport, by almost nine per cent.
