English language teachers will take to the streets of the capital today in protest over the reopening of their schools.
The Unite trade union has organised the demonstration outside the Department of Education at lunchtime.
Teachers are unhappy at having to work despite many of them and students being unvaccinated.
Unite Regional Coordinating Officer, Richie Brown, said reopening today is not the right approach.
"We believe that by the resumption of contact in classrooms today by largely unvaccinated people will put our members at additional risk."
He added, "if they contract Covid-19, get sick or end up in hospital they won't get any sick pay."
