An Oireachtas committee plans to look into the spending of more than a million euro on a printer for politicians.
The clerk of the Dáil Peter Finnegan is preparing a report into the incident for the Public Accounts Committee.
The 800,000 euro printer didn't fit into the building it was meant for.
Re-modelling of the room cost more than 230,000 euro including knocking walls to give the printer space to operate.
The PAC will discuss the issue on Thursday.
