President Michael D Higgins has received his first shot of a Covid-19 vaccine.
Áras an Uachtarain has confirmed that President Higgins and his wife Sabina both received the jab from their local GP on Friday.
Their turn having come, President Higgins and Sabina were grateful to receive their first COVID-19 vaccination from their local GP on Friday.

The HSE expects to have everyone over the age of 70 fully vaccinated by the middle of May.
