4,000 homes in Tallaght have had their power restored after an ESB power station was damaged in a wildfire.
Smoke could be seen lingering around the Rathfarnham, Dundrum, Ballinteer, Sandyford and Goatstown areas.
The wildfire at lower three rock mountain broke out early yesterday afternoon at Barnacullia just outside Sandyford.
Multiple fire engines including a water tanker from Phibsborough were drafted in to fight the blaze.

A Coillte helicopter helped from above, while ESB crews and Gardaí helped protect properties in surrounding areas.
At one stage Dublin Fire Brigade processed over 200 calls in one hour in relation to the fire.

Firefighters finished up at the scene before 10 o'clock last night, helped by refreshments left out by locals.
