Joel Corry joined Rebecca and Brendan on 98FM's Big Breakfast this morning.
The DJ producer, who is responsible for the hits 'Sorry' and 'Lonely', has been celebrating this week after scoring his first number-one single in the UK.
"It hasn't sunk in yet. I can't believe it. It's a dream come true", Joel says.
The track is called 'Head & Heart' and is a collaboration with Grammy-winning singer MNEK.
Corry originally started working on the song last year but felt the song needed a new vocal.
Fast forward to March 2020, when MNEK slid into his DMs on Instagram after hearing the demo and the rest is history.
Joel, who describes Ireland "a second home" after playing so many gigs here, says he would love to collaborate with Dermot Kennedy.
"Dermot is an amazing artist that I love. I love his music. If I ever got the chance to work with him, that would be incredible".
