140 new jobs have been announced at a pharma company that has designed a drug to treat Covid-19.
Gilead Sciences is opening a new base in Dublin as part of a €7 million investment.
Some of the roles will be at the company's existing operation in Carrigtwohill in Cork.
Gilead is currently in the process of selecting a location for its new Dublin office, where the majority of the new positions will be based.
The company has already started recruiting and expects the positions to be filled by early 2022. The jobs are in areas such as clinical development, IT and HR.
The biopharmaceutical company already has 370 full-time employees in Ireland.
