People are being urged to stay away from house parties during the Covid-19 restrictions.
The state's chief medical officer is making the appeal, saying gatherings in homes are taking place "with abandon" across the country.
Five more people with the virus have died, bringing the death toll to 1,664. While there have been 25,142 confirmed cases since the crisis began here in late February.
Dr Tony Holohan says house parties shouldn't be happening;
"I know a lot of focus has been on some of the external and public gatherings on beaches and those give us cause for concern but it's the unseen I think, activity in ordinary houses, very easy to understand but we're really not a point where we think that kind of activity is something that we can recommend."
Fresh guidance is to be issued on how people should act when invited to an event or a house party.
It comes as the government is expected to sign off on entering phase two of the easing of Covid-19 restrictions.
It is thought some measures will be brought forward to earlier than expected.
