Penneys has asked most of its staff at its Dublin headquarters to work from home tomorrow.
The retailer says this is to test its readiness and IT capability, in case it needs to close the office temporarily.
The firm says this is part of contingency planning, as it continues to monitor COVID-19.
But it says it's not had any cases among its employees.
