A Dublin school, that opened in 2015, still hasn't got a permanent building to teach children in.
Earlier this year, Pelletstown Educate Together was granted permission to build a school in Ashtown.
However, work on building it has yet to start.
It's understood the Department of Education is planning to put the project out to tender early in 2020.
However, pupils will need somewhere new to learn by next September.
The lease for the site where they are currently taught in prefabs is up in June.
Parents have been told that prefabs could be moved to the site of the future home of the permanent school.
However, this means children could end up being taught very close to a building site.
It's led to the Department of Education being accused of herding the children around "like sheep".
Susan Henry, whose twin sons go to the school, says the constant moving is "unacceptable".
"The department's solution is that we move down to what is essentially a building site".
The site is where the new school will hopefully be built.
"Basically they just want to plonk prefabs on a building site, and build the school around pupils", Susan said.
