The new e-gates at Dublin Airport now allow passengers to use their passport card.
They're up and running in Terminal 1 and will shortly be working in Terminal 2.
The passport card can only be used by EU citizens travelling around the European Union, but the machines also accept all normal passports.
Justice Minister Charlie Flanagan says the new e-gates will make going through airport security much quicker.
He says "when I was Minister for Foreign Affairs we launched the passport card, encouraging people to avail of the modern technological facilities on this series of e-gates is passport card friendly". "The object being to ensure greater level of efficiency and speed through a busy airport here in Dublin".
