The figures follows Ryanair’s confirmation that it had a record December.
It flew 11.5 million customers over the course of the month, with Dublin Airport cited as a strong base for the airline.
The DAA, who also run Cork Airport, confirmed it was a strong holiday season for travel.
Passenger numbers at Cork Airport were just 1 per cent off travellers in 2019.
