Dublin Airport is inviting passengers to play a piano newly installed in the arrivals hall of Terminal 1.
It's been donated by the same man that put public pianos in Pearse and Heuston train stations.
John Murphy of Murphy’s Piano Tuning & Repair, said he wants "to encourage people from all around the globe to sit, play and enjoy the music of this wonderful instrument".
Dublin Airport Managing Director Vincent Harrison admitted a piano is "not something you would normally expect to hear in an airport setting".
He is hoping it "evokes curiosity and surprise every time it is played".
The installation of the piano is the latest element in Dublin Airport’s Sense of Place project, which includes Vibrant Irish Light, the Irish Wildlife exhibition and James Earley’s Light Years mural.
The piano is located in the Arrivals Hall, meaning people waiting to greet friends and family can surprise them with a tune - and just in time for the Christmas rush home.
