A group of primary school students in Dublin have created an animated video encouraging people to stop handing out plastic party bags at the end of birthdays.
The children, from Saint Clare's in Harold's Cross, voice a character named Polly The Party Bag for their Party Bag Busters campaign.
In the video shared by their school, they explain the harm that soft plastics are doing to the planet.
Speaking from the perspective of a plastic party bag, they admit "I am not good for the earth".
"To create me, the factory uses lots of energy which pollutes the atmosphere".
The children end their video with the message, "the next time you throw a party, don't invite me".
