Sinn Féin has suspended one of its councillors, following controversial comments he made on a Podcast.
Paddy Holohan, who represents the party in west Dublin, claimed "loads" of teenage girls are having sex with men and blackmailing them.
Yesterday the former MMA fighter apologised for other comments in which he said the country should be run by a "family man" and questioned Leo Varadkar's connection to Ireland because of his Indian heritage.
Sinn Fein leader Mary Lou McDonald said she is shocked by the comments.
She called them "beyond offensive" and "upsetting", and said the party's "disciplinary procedure is now activated".
