Gardai received 238 reports of hate crime and hate incidents in the first six months of this year.
From today, such incidents can be reported online through the Garda website in a safe and secure way and will allow for the appropriate response and support to be provided.
Dedicated Gardai will examine these and ensure appropriate action is taken to record and respond to them.
