There was a ten fold increase in noise complaints at Dublin Airport last year.
However the vast majority of them were lodged by just two people, with one filing almost 8,000 grievances.
There were 15,160 complaints about noise in 2019. That compares with 1,453 during all of the previous year.
Two people made up nearly three-quarters of complaints. One person from Ongar lodged more than 7,700, or 21 a day on average, according to the Herald.
4,554 were filed in July alone, averaging 147 every day.
Another person sent in 3,435 complaints.
Meanwhile there were 37 grievances from people in Swords, 27 from those in Portmarnock and 25 from people living in Hollystown.
The total number of individuals who lodged complaints was down with 284 in 2019, compared to 293 during 2018.
