9,335 people were homeless across the country in April.

It's a drop of more than 500 from the previous month.

The total includes more than 3,000 children.

Housing Minister Eoghan Murphy has said there's been a "huge effort ongoing" to make sure people have safe accommodation throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.

There were 290 fewer adults, 282 fewer dependents and 179 fewer families in emergency accommodation in April.
