A Celbridge CrossFit gym has been forced to cancel health and fitness classes for teenagers after failing to get insurance.
The company's been holding youth training and nutrition classes since 2013 but this year they couldn't even get a quote.
Owner and Head Coach at CrossFit West Dublin, Lorna Heyes, says decisions like these are threatening the health and welfare of kids all over the country.
"Ten months ago I applied for my insurance renewal. They replied back to me saying no-one was willing to give us a quote," she said.
"I could get no insurance company to quote me for under-16s, so we had to cancel all our teen fitness programmes... everything's just gone now. All the teenagers that have been there, the just can't come any more -- everything's come to a halt," she said.
