An investigation is underway after a young woman was found dead in Blanchardstown.
Her body was found inside her home this morning and it’s believed she may have died from head injuries.
Gardai responding to an emergency call made some time after 11 this morning found the body of a woman at a house in Warrenstown Walk.
Officers say she looked like she’d suffered some sort of blow to the head.
The house was immediately sealed off and a technical examination was carried out.
The Deputy State Pathologist also carried out some preliminary tests at the scene and the body has since been removed for a post mortem.
The victim was a mother aged in her 20s and a member of the traveller community.
Gardai are treating her death as “suspicious” but will await the results of the post mortem before deciding what course their investigation will take.
