One in four nursery school children in Japan that experienced the 2011 tsunami are suffering from psychiatric problems.
A study has found 26% of children aged 3 to 5 are experiencing symptoms like vertigo, nausea and headaches, because of the exposure to loss and destruction during the natural disaster.
The young children are said to have been scarred by losing friends, seperation from parents, or seeing their homes destroyed.
Researchers say some children may be left with the effects for the rest of their lives.
