Cork Prepares For Flooding
Cork businesses are preparing for potential flood damage, as the county faces an orange wind warning.
Met Eireann predicts gusts of up to 110 km per hour will hit the Rebel county from 9pm this evening until 9 o'clock tomorrow morning.
The rest of Munster and Leinster will face a yellow wind warning for the same period.
Thomas McHugh from the Cork Chamber Of Commerce says businesses are preparing for the worst:
"I mean in terms of preparations now, the businesses throughout the City Centre will each be doing what they can individually.
"To try to shore up and protect their properties."
"But at this time of year, having had so much disruption with the pandemic, to lose even just a few hours trading is devastating for people."
