A yellow thunderstorm warning is in place for Dublin, Kildare, Wicklow and much of Leinster.
The worst of the showers is expected in the late afternoon and evening.
The warning stretches from Louth and Meath, down to Tipperary and Kilkenny.
It'll remain in place until nine o'clock tonight, with all of Northern Ireland also under a similar warning.
Met Éireann is warning of spot flooding and hazardous driving conditions.
