A woman was threatened at gunpoint during a carjacking in west Dublin yesterday afternoon.
It happened at around 3.10pm when a woman was getting into her car at Park West Road in Ballyfermot.
A man approached her, threatened the woman with what's believed to be a black handgun and demanded she get out of the car.
The suspect then left the scene in the stolen vehicle, driving off in the direction of Cloverhill Road.
Anyone who may have seen the silver-coloured saloon, that's a C-Class Mercedes Benz, is being asked to contact Gardaí. The reg is 161-D.
A particular appeal is being made to motorists with video footage, including dash cam recordings, who were travelling on Park West Road, Cloverhill Road and the surrounding areas at the time.
