Woman Remains In Serious Condition After Collision

Gardai are renewing their appeal for information on a serious collision in Dublin city centre a week ago.

The collision, involving a pedestrian and a motorcyclist, happened on Amiens Street last Friday, the 27th of May at 1.20pm.

The pedestrian, a woman in her 60s, was taken to The Mater Hospital where her condition is currently described as serious.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 30s, was also taken to hospital to be treated for his injuries.

Gardai are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward, in particular anyone with dash cam footage.

A garda spokesperson says: "Gardaí are renewing their appeal for witnesses to a road traffic collision that occurred on Amiens Street, Dublin 1 on Friday 27th May 2022 at approximately 1.20pm.

"The collision involved a pedestrian and a motorcyclist.

"The female pedestrian (60s) was taken to The Mater Misericordiae University Hospital where her condition is currently described as serious. The male motorcyclist (30s) was also taken to The Mater Misericordiae University Hospital to be treated for his injuries.

"Gardaí in Store Street are appealing for any witnesses who were in the North Strand/Amien Street areas between 1pm and 2:00pm who may have footage (including Dash Cam) to make it available to them. They are particularly keen for anyone who may have witnessed a motorbike in the area at this time to contact them.

"Anyone with information is asked to contact Store Street Garda Station on 01 666 8000, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.

"Investigations are ongoing."
