A mother of two has lost her legal action against the owners of a pub in Loughlinstown after she was injured during an Ann Summers lingerie party.

Sylvia Deehan of Maple Avenue, Ballybrack sued the owners of the Lough Inn public house after she was knocked down in a scramble for a prize described in court as a "a ring that goes around a certain part of a man".

It happened on Jan 21st 2011 as part of a ladies night held in the Lough Inn pub.

The court heard that just before a performance by the Hunks of Desire male stripper troupe, Ms Deehan and a friend were one of several pairs that participated in a game involving bursting balloons between their bodies.

Afterwards, the Ann Summers representative threw the prize up in the air between them.

As she went for the prize, she claimed she was shoved aside by another woman and fell against the leg of a loudspeaker, injuring her ribs.

Following an unsuccessful action before Dublin Circuit Court last June, Ms Deehan appealed to the High Court but her case was dismissed today.

Mr Justice Max Barrett ruled she wasn't entitled to damages because he couldn't find that the Lough Inn had been negligent.
