A woman has been killed after being hit by a car in Dublin.
The 40 year old pedestrian was struck as she was crossing the road at Golden Bridge Luas stop on Davitt Road at around half ten last night.
She was taken to St James' Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
The car involved left the scene.
Gardai are appealing to anyone who may have seen a dark coloured, possible Ford Focus with either 08 or 09 reg in the area to contact them.
