A woman in her 60s is in a critical condition in hospital after an apartment fire in Dublin.
Four fire engines, along with local gardaí, responded to reports from the Goatstown Close area.
A spokesperson for Dublin Fire Brigade says the first emergency calls came in shortly after 2 o'clock this morning.
Fire engines from Rathfarnham, Donnybrook and Dolphins Barn were scrambled.
Firefighters, using breathing equipment, entered the "well developed" blaze in a downstairs unit, and removed a woman.
She was given treatment on the scene shortly before she was rushed to St. Vincent's Hospital, where she remains critical.
There were no other injuries reported.
