A woman has died following a road collision in Co Dublin.
The incident involving two cars occurred on the R127 at Blakes Cross in Lusk yesterday evening just after 6pm.
A driver in one of the vehicles, a 60-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene a short time after the collision.
Her body has since been removed from the scene while the Coroner has been notified and a post mortem has been arranged.
The driver of the second car, a woman in her 50s, was taken to Beaumont Hospital.
Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
The road was closed for a time as Forensic Collision Investigators examined the scene but it has since fully reopened to traffic.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to the incident to come forward.
They are also asking any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) who were travelling in the area at the time to make this available to Gardaí.
